Sri Sundaram Iyer Catering

We have been running this catering setup here in Coimbatore for a good number of years now. Our kitchen is located at No 49-A in Govindasamy Naicker Garden, right near the Kpn Garden area. It’s a busy spot, especially in the mornings when we start the stoves. Most of the time, we are busy preparing traditional meals for local functions. People usually find us through word of mouth or by just walking past our door in Srinagar. We don't have a big fancy office or anything like that. It’s just us, the cooks, and a few helpers making sure the food is ready on time. Usually, we handle weddings, housewarmings, or small family get-togethers. The work is hard and it gets quite hot in the kitchen during the summer months, but we keep at it. Sometimes the delivery vans get stuck in the local traffic near the garden, but we try to plan around that. We source our vegetables from the local markets nearby. It’s a simple operation really. We don’t spend much time on the computer or doing fancy paperwork. Most of our day is spent checking the quality of the rice or making sure the sambar tastes right. If you are around Coimbatore Ho, you might have seen our staff moving around with large containers. We just focus on getting the cooking done and making sure there is enough food for everyone at the event. It’s honest work and keeps us busy from dawn till late evening.
