Sri Sellam Store

Our shop, Sri Sellam Store, is at No 546 in the Sukwarpet area of Coimbatore. This part of the city is always buzzing with activity. We are right in the thick of the market area, so it’s never really quiet around here. The shop is filled with various goods, from bulk spices to small household knick-knacks. We spend a lot of time weighing out items for customers who want specific amounts. The old building has its quirks, like the uneven floor and the narrow doorway. It’s a bit of a challenge to keep everything tidy when so many people are coming through. We don't have a big staff, so we do all the heavy lifting ourselves. You’ll often see bags of rice stacked near the entrance. The air in Sukwarpet smells like different spices and exhaust fumes from the trucks. We’ve been here for years, and the routine hasn’t changed much. We open up early, sweep the front, and start the day. Sometimes we have to shout a bit to be heard over the noise of the street. It’s not a place for a relaxed walk, but if you need something for your kitchen, we probably have it somewhere on our shelves. We just keep our heads down and do the work at 641001.
