Sri Ramakrishna Matric Higher Secondary School

Sri Ramakrishna Matric Higher Secondary School is located in Avarampalayam, Peelamedu. It’s an old neighborhood and the school has been part of it for a long time. The building is several stories high and the paint is peeling a bit in the corners where the rain hits it. We have a lot of stairs to climb every day. The classrooms are filled with those old-fashioned wooden benches that have names carved into them from years ago. We don't have fancy whiteboards, just the traditional black ones that need a good wash every evening. The staff room is a bit cramped and smells like old paper and tea. We have a small courtyard where the students gather for the morning prayers. Peelamedu is a busy area, so there’s always the sound of traffic in the background, but once you’re inside the gates, it feels a bit more separate. We don’t have a marketing department or anyone to write fancy letters. We just have our teachers who show up and do their work. Most of the staff has been here for a decade or more. We just focus on the syllabus and making sure the students pass their exams. It’s a straightforward kind of place. We don’t try to be something we’re not. It’s just a school for the local kids to come and get their education without any fuss or fancy extras that they don't really need anyway.
