Sri Ganapathy Departmental Stores

Sri Ganapathy Departmental Stores is over at No : 96 on Narayana Guru Road in Saibaba Colony. We are tucked in near that S Bend that everyone complains about because of the traffic. Being so close to Sri Hari Hospital means we see a lot of people who are just passing through or visiting someone. The store itself is a decent size, and we try to carry a bit of everything so people don't have to go elsewhere. We have been here for years, and the building has some character to it, like the slightly uneven floor in the back. My family runs the place with a few helpers who have been with us for a long time. We don't have a website or anything fancy; we just open the shutters every morning and wait for people to come in. It gets pretty hot in the afternoons, so we keep the big fans going. We spend a lot of time checking the expiration dates and moving the newer stock to the back. It’s a steady kind of job, and we know most of our regular customers by their faces if not their names. Sometimes we run out of things if the delivery truck is late, but we just tell folks to come back tomorrow. We aren't trying to be the biggest store in Saibaba Colony, just a reliable one where you can get your groceries without a lot of trouble.
