Siva Store is a small spot at 5/93 in Morpatti, which is quite close to Vadamadurai. We are not in a big city or a fancy mall with shiny glass windows. It’s just a regular shop in a quiet corner of the world. We’ve been here for quite some time now, and the building shows its age a bit, but it’s sturdy enough for what we do. We sell things that people in the village use every day. It’s a family-run business, and we take turns sitting behind the counter to help people out. The pace of life here is slow and relaxed most days. We might go an hour without a single customer, and then suddenly five people will walk in at once. We know just about everyone who comes through the door. We know their kids and we know what they usually buy before they even have to ask. It’s not like those big stores where nobody even speaks to you or knows your name. Here, we always have time for a bit of a chat. The area around Vadamadurai is nice, but it gets very quiet at night. We usually close up the shutters once it gets dark. We don't have any high-tech systems for tracking our inventory or anything like that. We just look at the shelves and see what’s missing and then we order it. It works just fine for us. We aren't looking to expand or become a big chain. We just like being here in Morpatti.
