Siddhi Vinayak - The Chaat Destination

We are located at 186 Lingapachetty Street in the Sukrawarpettai area of Coimbatore. It’s quite easy to spot us because we are right across from the Patanjali Arogya Kendra. We make chaat and different snacks here. The street is usually quite narrow and busy, so it feels like a real part of the old city life. We have been making these snacks here for a long time. It’s a small shop, mostly just enough room for the counter and a few people to stand around while they eat. We don't have fancy air conditioning or big bright signs, just the food and the people who come to eat it. Every day we prep the chutneys and the different fried bits that go into the dishes. It’s a messy job sometimes, but we enjoy the process and the routine. The smell of spices is always hanging around the shop throughout the day. We get a lot of students and people who are just out shopping in Sukrawarpettai. It’s a lively spot, especially in the evenings when the sun goes down and everyone comes out for a quick snack before heading home. We just keep doing what we do, making sure the spice levels are right and the ingredients are fresh. We don't really have a website or anything like that. People just know we are here on Lingapachetty Street. It’s a simple life running a chaat stall.
