Shivani Fabrication

We've been here in Kovilmedu for quite a while now. The shop is on Sasthri Street, right near Mariyamman Kovil. It gets loud here with the welding and the metal cutting machines going all day. Sometimes the dust is a bit much but that is just how fabrication work goes. We handle a lot of different iron and steel projects for people around Coimbatore. Most days start early because there is always something to weld or a frame to finish. It’s not a fancy place, just a workspace with tools and raw materials piled up in corners. People usually just drop by the shop to talk about what they need made. We spend most of our time measuring pipes or grinding down edges so they aren’t sharp. It is hard work and our hands stay dirty from the grease and metal shavings. The location in Voc Nagar Jallikadu is easy to find if you know where the temple is. We just keep our heads down and do the jobs as they come in. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait a bit, but we get back to it soon enough. It’s a small team here, just a few of us who know how to handle the machines. We’ve seen the neighborhood change over the years but the work stays pretty much the same. If someone needs a gate or some window grills, they know where to find us. We don't have a website or anything like that, just this shop and our tools.
