Our place is at 330/2C1 in Sharp Nagar, out in Kalapatti. It is a bit of a trek for some, but it is where we have set up shop. Sharp Electrodes Pvt. Ltd is basically all about welding supplies and electrodes. The air inside always smells a bit like metal and coating materials. It is a specific kind of work that requires a lot of attention to detail. We are not a huge corporate office with people in suits. Most of us are in work clothes, dealing with the machinery and the materials every day. The neighborhood of Sharp Nagar has grown up around businesses like ours. Sometimes the power goes out or things get delayed, but we just deal with it as it comes. We have a lot of regular people who come to us because they know we have been here for a long time. The floors are concrete and the walls are filled with stacks of finished goods ready to go out. It gets hot during the summer months, but that is just part of working in a place like this. We do not have a marketing team or anyone to write fancy stories about us. We just make electrodes and try to do a decent job of it. It is a quiet life in Kalapatti, and we like the routine of the daily production. We just keep the machines running and hope for a productive day every morning we open up.
