We are up on the second floor of the Madani Complex at D-1. It's located right on the 100 Feet Road in Gandhipuram. Being on the second floor means we have to haul everything up and down the stairs or the lift, which can be a real workout some days. The complex is pretty busy with other businesses too. Out on 100 Feet Road, there is always traffic and noise, but it stays a bit quieter once you get inside our unit. We do fabrication work, so there is usually the sound of cutting or joining materials going on. The space is filled with tools and raw materials waiting to be turned into something. We don't have a polished office or a place for people to sit and wait. It is a workshop through and through. We spend our time measuring things and making sure the cuts are right. Gandhipuram is a good place to be because it’s easy for suppliers to get to us. We have our routine every day, starting with a cup of tea and then getting straight into the projects on the floor. It’s messy work sometimes, with scraps and dust everywhere, but we clean up at the end of the shift. We just focus on the task at hand and try to get things done without too much fuss. It is just a regular shop where we work hard until the sun goes down.
