You can find us at 15A, Kandasamy Gounder Street, over in the Rathinapuri area of Coimbatore. We are pretty close to the Muniappan Koil, so it’s easy to locate if you’re around there. The shop is a small one, just a corner spot where we keep the essentials. We sell things like soaps, matches, loose sugar, and pulses. Most of our customers are locals who live just a few houses away. They stop by in their lungis or sarees, often just to buy one or two things they missed at the big market. We don't have any staff; it's just family members taking turns behind the counter. The fan makes a clicking sound that we’ve stopped noticing. The floor is old stone, and it stays relatively cool even when the Coimbatore sun is beating down on the street. We keep a notebook to write down what we need to buy from the wholesaler next week. It’s not a fancy place with shopping carts. You just stand at the counter and ask for what you want, and we get it for you from the back shelves. Sometimes we run out of change, and we have to ask the neighbor for some coins. It’s a quiet way to earn a living. We’ve been here at this address for years and know the street like the back of our hand.
