Saravanan Petty Shop

Saravanan Petty Shop is a tiny little place on Vinayagar Koil Street in Velandipalayam, Coimbatore. We are located at number 29, and the shop is really just a small part of where we live. We sell very basic stuff like matchboxes, single cigarettes, candies, and maybe some local snacks or small packets of oil. It’s what you would call a traditional petty shop. We don't have a lot of items because we don't have much space. Our customers are mostly the people who live on this street or the next one over. They stop by when they just need one or two small things. We’ve been here for many years now. It’s a quiet way of making a living. Coimbatore is a big city, but our little corner feels like a small village. We don't have any workers, it’s just us. We know almost everyone who comes to the shop by name. We don't have any big signs or posters. The shop is just a part of the neighborhood. We open early and stay open until the evening lights come on. It isn't a fancy business and we don't try to make it seem like one. It's just a honest, small shop serving the local people around here. We like the simple routine of it all and being able to chat with our neighbors every day when they pass by the door.
