Saraswathi Stores

Our shop is located at 199 Sastri Road in the Ram Nagar area. It’s a pretty decent part of Coimbatore to be in. We’ve been running Saraswathi Stores for quite some time now and it’s become our daily routine. Every morning we roll up the shutters and start arranging the stocks. Ram Nagar is usually busy with people going to work or finishing their household shopping. We see the same people almost every day, which makes the work feel a bit more personal. It’s not a huge place, but we manage to fit everything on the shelves. Sometimes the aisle gets a bit tight when there are more than three or four people inside. We don't spend much time on decorations or making things look fancy. It's just a functional shop for the community. The weather in Coimbatore is mostly okay, but those summer months make the shop feel a bit stuffy. We just deal with it. Living and working in the same general area makes life a bit easier. You get to know which neighbor likes what and when the milk delivery usually arrives late. There is always something to count or clean, so we rarely sit idle. Being on Sastri Road means there is a constant flow of bikes and cars passing by. It is just a normal life running a small business here. We just try to keep the basics in stock and stay open when people need us.
