Saraswathi Departmental Stores

Saraswathi Departmental Stores is located in the Saraswathi Complex on Trichy Road in Sulur, Coimbatore. We are very close to the Government Hospital, so we get a lot of people coming in who are visiting the hospital or working there. Unlike the smaller kirana shops, we have a bit more space, which allows us to keep a wider variety of items. We have sections for groceries, plastic items, and some basic stationery. It’s not a huge supermarket, but it’s bigger than a corner store. The aisles are a little narrow, especially when we are restocking the shelves, but people manage to find their way around. Coimbatore is a busy place, and Trichy Road always has traffic moving, so there is a constant sound of horns and engines in the background. We have a few staff members who help out, and we all know where the different items are kept. Sometimes we have to search a bit if a new product has just arrived. The lighting inside is just regular tube lights and the floor is plain tiles. We don't try to make it look like a fancy mall. It’s just a practical place for the people of Sulur to do their shopping. We open early in the morning and stay until late evening, just making sure we are there when people need us.
