Santhya Stores

Santhya Stores is located at B 3 on Mtp Road, right in the Jothipuram area. If you know where St Marys Church is at Veerapandi Pirivu, we are just a short walk from there. The traffic on Mtp Road can get really heavy, so there’s always a hum of engines in the background. Our shop isn't very large, but we pack a lot into the space we have. The shelves go almost up to the ceiling, so sometimes we have to use a small stool to reach the stuff at the top. It’s a bit of a family-style operation here. We don’t use any high-tech systems to track what we have; mostly we just look at the shelves and see what’s missing. Some days are slower than others, especially when it’s really hot outside and nobody wants to walk. We spend those quiet times reorganizing the crates or sweeping out the front. The church nearby means Sundays are a bit different, with people stopping by after the service. We’ve had this spot for a while and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but it’s home to us. We just try to have what people are looking for so they don't have to go all the way into the city. It’s a basic shop for basic needs. Nothing more, nothing less than that. Just a simple place for the Jothipuram folks.
