Sagar Stores

If you’re driving down Sh 82 through Appakudal, you’ll find Sagar Stores in Sakthi Nagar. We are a small shop that carries a bit of everything for the house. From daily groceries to things for the kitchen, we try to keep the shelves stocked. It gets crowded in here sometimes, especially in the evenings when everyone is coming home from their jobs. We have bins of grains and rows of snacks all over the place. It’s not the most organized store in the world, but we know where everything is kept. We’ve been in this spot for years and have seen the neighborhood change a lot. Most of our customers are our neighbors. We spend a lot of time chatting with people who come in for just one or two items. It’s nice to be part of the community. We don’t do any big advertising or anything like that. People just know we are here. Sometimes we run out of things if the delivery truck is late, but we try to get it back in stock soon. The shop can get a bit dusty because of the road right outside, but we give it a sweep when we can. We’re just a regular local store trying to make a living. It’s a lot of long hours, but we enjoy seeing the familiar faces every day. We are happy to serve the people here.
