Renuka Stores

Renuka Stores is right here in the Ganapathy area of Coimbatore, specifically in the E B Colony part of V G Rav Nagar. It’s a quiet enough residential spot most of the time. The shop is at number 162. We’ve been here long enough that we know most of the people living on this street by their first names. It’s a basic general store. We don't have those fancy scanners or anything, just a simple counter and shelves full of stuff. We sell everything from notebooks for the school kids to the oil people use for cooking their dinners. Every morning starts with moving the crates around and making sure the floor is swept before the first customer arrives. It gets quite warm in the afternoons, so we usually have the fan going full blast to keep the air moving. We don't really have a big team or anything, just us running the place day in and day out. Sometimes things are a bit disorganized behind the counter, but we always find what the customer is looking for eventually. It’s a small-scale operation. We don't have any grand plans to expand or anything like that. We are just happy to be the place where neighbors stop by to pick up their daily essentials. It’s a steady job and it keeps us busy from morning until we pull the shutters down at night and go home to our own families.
