Prakash Provision Store

Prakash Provision Store is located at 5/111 on Park Street, just off the busy Avinashi Road. It is not a very large shop, but we do our best to keep it filled with all the daily essentials people need. Running this place has been our life for many years now. We usually open up the metal shutters early in the morning while it is still a bit quiet outside. The street gets crowded very quickly because of where we are located. Our shelves go all the way up to the ceiling because we have to use every bit of space we have. It can be a tight squeeze when more than a few customers are inside at the same time, but people don't seem to mind. We know most of the families who live in the nearby apartment buildings. They come in for a bit of sugar, some tea leaves, or anything else they forgot to buy. We don't have any flashy neon signs or big advertisements out front. The name is just painted above the door. The floor is made of old tiles that have faded over time, but they still hold up. We spend a lot of time every day checking our stock and writing down lists for the next delivery. Sometimes the supply trucks are late and we end up staying late to get everything put away. It is just part of the job. The neighborhood is friendly, and that makes the long days much easier to handle.
