Universal Glory Development Co. Ltd. is located right at No. 15 on the 4th Cross Street in Annanagar, Peelamedu. If you know this part of the city, you know how busy the 4th Cross can get during the morning hours when everyone is heading to work. Our office isn't anything special to look at, just a practical space where we keep all the project files and where the supervisors meet up to argue about the schedule. There is a small tea shop around the corner that we practically keep in business with all the orders we place. Most of our day is spent dealing with the reality of building things, which means a lot of phone calls to vendors and trying to figure out why the sand delivery is three hours behind. Peelamedu is a growing area, so there is always noise from somewhere. We have a few desks that are usually buried under blueprints and empty water bottles. We don't spend much time on fancy presentations because we are usually out on the street or at a site checking on the masonry work. It is a lot of hard work and sweating in the sun, but that is what we do here in Annanagar. Sometimes we stay late into the evening just to finish up the paperwork so we can start fresh the next morning. It is a simple life of managing bricks and mortar.
