Pebble Creek Montessori School

We are located over at 132A/6 Gandhi Nagar in the NG Pudur area, near GN Mills. It is a bit of a way out toward Mettupalayam, so it is not as crowded as the city center. Our school follows the Montessori way, which means the classrooms look a bit different than what most people are used to. We have low shelves and lots of wooden materials for the children to work with. The building is simple and has plenty of light coming through the windows. We do not have uniforms or strict rows of desks here. Instead, you will see kids sitting on the floor or working at small tables on whatever task they have chosen for the day. The teachers, or guides as we sometimes call them, spend most of their time observing and helping out when needed. It is a calm environment, at least most of the time. We have a bit of outdoor space where the kids can run around and get some fresh air. The parents who bring their children here are usually looking for something a bit more relaxed than the big schools in town. We do not have a big front office with a receptionist. Usually, whoever is free just answers the door. It is a very hands-on place where we all pitch in. We are just a small group of people trying to give kids a different kind of start in life.
