Orleance Public School

This school sits at number 51 in the Curio Garden area, right on Ganga Street in Vadavalli. It’s a much quieter part of Coimbatore compared to the busy city center. We like it here because it feels more like a normal neighborhood where people know each other. The building is surrounded by some old trees and residential houses. We have students from the nearby streets who often just walk over with their bags in the mornings. It’s a public school, so we see all kinds of kids from different backgrounds. The classrooms are filled with the usual things you'd expect, like maps of India, hand-drawn charts, and student projects pinned to the walls. Our daily schedule is pretty standard and doesn't change much. We start with some announcements or a short assembly and then get right into the textbooks. The staff is a group of local people who really care about how the kids are doing. We don't have any fancy mission statements or slogans hanging on the walls to impress people. We just try to make sure every child understands what we are teaching before they head home for the day. During the breaks, the small yard gets quite lively with games of tag and shouting. It can be a bit dusty when the weather is dry, but the kids never seem to mind it. We’ve been part of the Vadavalli community for quite a few years now.
