Oriental Model Senior Secondary School

Our school is located in Peelamedu, which is a busy and crowded part of Coimbatore. Being a senior secondary school means we see a lot of older kids who are starting to worry about their big future steps. The atmosphere is usually a bit serious because of the board exams, but you still hear plenty of laughing and joking during the short breaks between classes. We have a solid concrete building with enough rooms for all the different subjects we teach. It's not a brand-new place by any means, but it works perfectly for us and the students. The teachers here have been around for a long time and know the curriculum inside out. We spend a lot of time in the staff room grading papers and drinking tea while we talk about the day. The students come from all over this side of the city, some on buses and some on their own bikes. Traffic outside on the main roads can get pretty bad around three o'clock in the afternoon. We try to keep the grounds tidy, though with so many teenagers running around, there's always something to clean up at the end of the day. It’s a practical place to learn without any distractions. We don't use big words or make fancy promises to anyone. It’s just about showing up every single day and doing the work required. Some of the alumni stop by to say hello years later.
