O.P.M. Shikshan Kendra English Medium School, Amlai

We started O.P.M. Shikshan Kendra English Medium School, Amlai a while back. It's tucked away near Edayarpalayam Road in Coimbatore. The school sits at E7, E9 in SP Nagar II, near KS Gardens. We mostly deal with kids from around Kavundampalayam. The classrooms are just normal rooms where students sit and do their lessons. We spend a lot of time on the basics like reading and math. Sometimes the noise from the road carries over, but we just keep going. It’s a plain building, nothing too fancy to look at. We have a small playground where the children run around during their breaks. The teachers live nearby and walk to work most days. We try to keep things organized but sometimes it gets a bit chaotic when school lets out. Our gate is right there on the corner. Parents come by on their scooters to drop off their kids every morning. It's a busy spot in the mornings and afternoons. We don't have a big hall, so we gather in the courtyard for announcements. The weather in Coimbatore gets quite warm, so we keep the fans going all day long. We've been at this address for several years now. Most people in the neighborhood know where we are. We just focus on getting through the syllabus and making sure the kids understand what they are reading. It is just a local school doing its work day by day.
