Olivet Foods

Olivet Foods is based at 9/11, Kumaraswamy Nagar, Civil Aerodrome (P.O.). Being so close to the airport, we hear planes taking off and landing all day long. It’s a sound you just stop noticing after a while. Our building is a simple structure and we use most of the space for storing our food products. It’s usually quite warm here, so we try to keep things moving fast. We aren’t some massive factory with robots. It’s mostly manual work, people weighing things and packing them into boxes. The office part is just a small corner with a couple of desks and a lot of logbooks. We still write a lot of things down by hand because it’s easier than trying to fix the computer when it crashes. We have a few delivery vans that come and go throughout the morning. The guys who drive them always have some story to tell about the traffic near the aerodrome. We just try to keep things organized and clean. There isn’t a lot of fluff here. We don't spend money on fancy furniture or decor. We just want to get the food packed and sent out to the people who ordered it. It’s hard work and your back hurts by the end of the day, but it’s a living. We’ve been here for a good while and the neighbors know us by name now. It is just a regular local operation.
