N.L. English Chef

You’ll find N.L. English Chef over in Vishweshwara Nagar, specifically on Villankurichi Road. We are quite close to the Sree Dharmasastha Matriculation Higher Secondary School, so we see a lot of kids and parents every day in Saravanampatty. Our little place isn't anything like those big chain restaurants you see in the mall. It’s much more humble than that. We spend most of our time in the kitchen area, getting things ready and making sure everything smells right. It gets pretty hectic around lunch and dinner time, with the pots clanging and the stove going. We’ve got a few tables for folks to sit at, but it’s a tight squeeze when it’s busy. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we’re usually too busy cooking to worry about that. We like being in this part of Saravanampatty. The school being nearby gives the street a good energy. We don't have a big team of chefs, just a couple of us doing the cooking and the cleaning. It’s a lot of long hours on our feet, but we’re used to it by now. We just try to make food that tastes like it should. If you’re walking down Villankurichi Road, just look for the school and you’ll find us easily enough. We’re just local people making food for the neighborhood, plain and simple.
