New Life Grammer School

Out in Vadamadurai Kurudampalayam, the New Life Grammer School is a pretty familiar sight for the locals. Coimbatore is a big city, but out here, things feel a bit more spread out and relaxed compared to the city center. The school is right there where the houses start to thin out a bit. It’s a plain building, mostly concrete and paint, and we spend a lot of time making sure the roof doesn't leak during the heavy rains. The playground is just a patch of dirt where the kids play football or just run around until they’re tired. We have a few trees that provide some shade, which is nice when the heat gets bad in the middle of the day. Our staff is mostly made up of people who have lived in this part of Coimbatore for years. We don't have any fancy technology or glass walls. It’s just desks, blackboards, and books. The morning assembly is usually short because everyone wants to get into the shade of the classrooms. You can hear the birds and the occasional tractor passing by on the road. It’s a quiet life for the most part. We just focus on the lessons and making sure the kids behave themselves. It might not look like much from the outside, but it’s where we spend all our time. We like the quiet of Vadamadurai and the way the community looks out for the school.
