Nandi Keshwar Gyan Manjil Middle School Barela

You can find us at 64F on the Mettupalayam Road in Thudialur. It is a very busy stretch of road in Coimbatore. There is a lot of dust and noise from the traffic, but we are used to it by now. The school is a middle school, so we have the younger children here. The building is quite simple and doesn't stand out much. We have a few rooms for the different grades. Every morning, the kids gather for their small assembly. It can be a bit tight in the common area, but we make it work for us. Most of the teachers live nearby in Coimbatore and come in on their scooters. We don't have a big playground like the fancy schools. The kids just play in the small yard during their lunch break. We focus on the basic things like reading and math. The classrooms have the usual boards and wooden desks. Some of them are a bit old, but they are still solid. We know the families in Thudialur well. Many of them have sent all their children to us over the years. It feels like a very local place. We don't have a website or anything like that. People just walk in when they need to talk to us. The office is full of old registers and charts. We spend our days making sure the kids are in their seats and learning what they need to know before they head home.
