Nalanda Public School

Nalanda Public School has been sitting here at B-108 Cheran Maa-Nagar for quite a while now. Most people around Vilankurichi Road know where we are. It is just a regular school building with classrooms and a playground where the kids get a bit loud during the breaks. We have teachers who show up every morning and get through the lessons, trying to keep everyone focused on their books. The traffic on Vilankurichi Road can get pretty busy around eight in the morning and again in the afternoon when the parents come to pick up their children. Coimbatore weather is usually okay, but it gets dusty when the wind picks up around the school gates. Inside, things are mostly organized, though there is always some clutter in the office with papers and registers piled up. We have benches that have seen better days and a small area where kids eat their lunch. It is not fancy here. We just go through the daily routine of teaching and learning without much fuss. The staff knows most of the families by name because people stay in this part of Coimbatore for a long time. There is a lot of walking back and forth between the gates and the main building throughout the day. We try to keep the place tidy, but with so many students running around, there is always a bit of a mess to clean up before we lock the doors at the end of the day.
