Morning Glory Public School

RS Puram is always busy, and our school is tucked away on West Lokamanya Street, right off DP Road. It is a busy enough part of Coimbatore. If you walk by No. 551/A, you will definitely hear the kids. We have been in this neighborhood for some time now and the building has become a familiar sight for everyone living around here. There is usually a line of bicycles out front and parents waiting near the gate when the afternoon comes around. The classrooms are filled with posters the kids made and the windows stay open to let in the breeze, though it gets dusty from the street traffic. We use standard textbooks and the teachers spend a lot of time writing on the boards. It’s a plain sort of setup, really. We don't have a giant stadium, but the kids find ways to play in the spaces we have. Lunchtime is the loudest part of the day because everyone is sharing their food and talking at once. Sometimes the bells don't ring exactly on time because someone forgot to check the clock, but we manage. It’s a local place where we focus on the daily lessons and getting the homework done. People in the area know us as the school on the corner. We just try to keep things organized and make sure the students have their books ready for the next day's work. We don't worry about being fancy, we just do the job that needs to be done every day.
