Our place is at number 124 on 3rd Street in Gandhipuram. If you know Coimbatore, you know how packed this area gets, especially in the evenings. We have a few computers set up in the main room where people sit to work on their software skills. It is not a huge office, just a practical space for learning. We also talk a lot about soft skills, which basically means helping people feel more comfortable when they have to speak in front of others or go for jobs. The building is an older one, but it stays relatively cool inside even when the sun is beating down on the street outside. I spend a lot of time making sure the internet connection is working right because everything depends on that these other days. Students come from all over the city because Gandhipuram is easy to reach by bus. You can hear the sounds of the city through the windows, but it is okay. Sometimes we have tea from the shop downstairs while we are working through a difficult lesson. It is just a normal daily routine here. We do not have fancy signs or anything like that. Just a door and some desks and people trying to pick up some new things to help them get ahead. The chairs are comfortable enough for a few hours of sitting. Most people who come here are quite serious about their work.
