Located at 567 Mallamooppampatti Road, this store is pretty much what you see from the street. We sit right on the edge of the road where the traffic passes by all day long. The building is simple and we keep the doors open to let some air in when the sun is out. Most of the people who stop by are just local residents or folks driving through on their way somewhere else. We stock things like spices and oils and some packaged snacks that kids like. The shelves are mostly wooden and we've put them up ourselves over time to make more room. It can get a bit cluttered when the new stock arrives and we have to find a place for everything. There isn't any fancy lighting or air conditioning here but the ceiling fans do their job well enough. We don't have a big team of workers just a couple of us who take turns sitting at the front. The road outside has its busy hours when the noise gets quite loud but we've gotten used to it after all these years. Sometimes we sit outside on a stool when things are slow and watch the cars go by. It’s a basic shop for basic needs and that is how we like to keep it. People come in for a quick chat while they buy their groceries and that’s the best part of the day usually.
