L M R Exports operates out of 238, B K Chetti Street, right in the Town Hall area. Being in such a central location means we’re always around the hustle and bustle of the city. Our space is mostly taken up by boxes, packing tape, and scales for weighing shipments. It’s an export business, so a lot of our time is spent making sure everything is labeled correctly and packed tight so nothing breaks during transit. We deal with a variety of goods, and the inventory changes depending on what’s in demand. The street outside is narrow, so loading the trucks can be a bit of a challenge sometimes, but we’ve gotten used to the rhythm of it. We don't have a fancy reception area or anything like that. When you walk in, you’re basically walking into the warehouse. There’s a small desk in the corner where we handle the shipping documents and customs forms. It’s a lot of manual labor and keeping track of numbers. We start early in the morning to beat the heat and the heaviest traffic. It’s a straightforward way to earn a living, focused on getting products from one place to another without any fuss. We don't have a big corporate philosophy or a mission statement on the wall. We just pack the boxes, fill out the forms, and make sure the trucks leave on time every single day.
