Om Plastic

We have been here at 73 Edyar Street for quite some time now. It’s a busy spot right by the Town Hall area. If you know this part of town, you know it gets crowded pretty early in the day. We mostly handle different kinds of plastic items, stuff people need for their houses or small shops. The shelves are usually packed, sometimes a bit messy if we’ve had a big delivery come in recently. I started working here because it was close to home. My cousin helps out when he isn’t busy with his own things. We open up around ten, sometimes a little later if traffic is bad near the intersection. It isn't a huge place, just a regular shop floor with boxes stacked up in the back corner. Most of our customers are locals who walk over from the nearby streets. We spend a lot of time just moving things around to make space. It gets hot in the afternoons, so we keep a small fan going behind the counter. Sometimes we have tea from the stall down the road while we wait for the next person to walk in. There is always noise from the street outside, horns honking and people shouting. It’s just how it is here. We keep a ledger for the regular accounts and try to keep track of what’s running low. It’s nothing fancy, just a straightforward plastic shop on a busy street.
