Kamal Plastic Store

We’ve been running Kamal Plastic Store at 77 Sowdamman Kovil Street for quite some time now. It’s a busy little area and we’re right in the thick of it. The shop is mostly filled with plastic things people need every day like buckets, tubs, and kitchen containers. We open the shutters early in the morning, usually around eight, and it’s a lot of work just getting everything moved around so people can see the stock. The dust from the street is a constant battle, so someone is always holding a cloth to wipe things down. We aren't a big corporation or anything fancy like that. It’s just us and a couple of helpers. My brother usually handles the customers while I check what needs to be ordered for the next week. We have stacks of chairs out front, mostly those red and white ones you see at parties. People come by on their scooters and we help them tie things to the back. Sometimes the street gets so crowded that the delivery trucks can’t get close. We just carry the boxes by hand when that happens. It’s a simple way to make a living. We don't have a website or any of those modern things. If you want something, you just come to the street and look for us. The sign is a bit faded but you can’t miss all the plastic out on the pavement.
