Kpr Ias Academy

Our place is at No 5, Thadagam Road in Coimbatore, specifically in Aks Nagar which is quite close to Gandhi Park. It’s a busy area and finding a parking spot for a scooter can be a bit of a challenge some mornings. The academy is basically just a few rooms where we get together to study for the civil service exams. We don't have any glossy brochures or a big reception desk. Instead, you’ll find some old wooden tables and a lot of notebooks scattered around. The light in the rooms is okay, but we mostly rely on the overhead tubes. Being near Gandhi Park is nice because you can hear a bit of the outside world, though the traffic on Thadagam Road is usually what fills the air. We keep things very straightforward here. Students come in, grab a seat, and start working through their subjects. We have a lot of tea and coffee to keep us going during the long afternoon sessions when the heat in Coimbatore starts to climb. It’s a very local operation and we know most of the people who walk through the door by their first names. We don’t go for anything polished. It’s just about getting the reading done and making sure everyone understands the topics. The walls are a bit plain, but they’re covered in maps and charts that help with the prep work. It feels more like a study group than a big institution.
