Jeevans Matriculation School

Jeevans Matriculation School is right here in Podanur, and it has been a part of this community for quite some time. The building is simple and spread out, giving the children enough room to move between classes. We don't have those massive fancy facilities you see in big cities, but we have what we need to teach the kids properly. Every morning begins with the sound of the school bell and the kids lining up for their morning activities. Podanur is a place where people know each other, so we often see parents stopping by for a quick word at the gate. The classrooms have high ceilings and big windows to keep the air moving during the hotter months. We have a small yard where the students play during their recess, and you can always hear the laughter and shouting from there. Our staff consists of people who really care about the local area and the families who live here. We spend our days making sure the lessons are prepared and the school stays in good shape. It’s a lot of hard work keeping a school running, from fixing a leaky tap to organizing the books in the library. We just take it one day at a time and try to make sure every child feels welcome when they walk through the doors. It is a modest place, but it is our home and we enjoy being here.
