Indica Seeds & Allieds

Our shop is at 32, Kollupuram Maruthachalam Street. We are very close to the Flower Market, so if you are in that area, you can’t miss the smell of jasmine and roses in the morning. Being near the market means we get a lot of foot traffic from farmers and gardeners looking for seeds. We handle all sorts of seeds and other things people need for their crops. The street is very narrow and it can get quite congested with carts and motorbikes, but that’s part of the charm of this old neighborhood. Our shop is small and filled to the ceiling with bags and boxes of stock. There is no air conditioning, just a ceiling fan that works most of the time. We don't have a fancy marketing plan. We just talk to the people who come in, listen to what they’re trying to grow, and give them what we have. Sometimes we sit on stools outside and chat with the neighbors when business is slow. It’s a simple way of doing things, but it has worked for us for a long time. We don’t try to act like a big corporation. We are just a local seed business on a busy street, trying to help folks get their gardens and fields started right. It’s a lot of work but seeing things grow makes it worthwhile for us and the local growers.
