H F Kitchen ( Home Foods )

Our kitchen is at No 239 on Park Town Road, over in the Sungam area of Ramanathapuram. We’re very close to the Sungam Junction signal, so we see a lot of traffic passing by all day long. We call it H F Kitchen, which stands for Home Foods. It’s basically exactly what the name says. We make food that feels like what you’d get at home. It’s not a big restaurant with waiters and a huge menu. It’s more of a practical setup where we focus on the cooking. We spend a lot of our time in the back with the pots and pans. It’s hot and busy most of the time. We’ve been in this spot for a while now. Some people stop by on their way home from work to pick something up for dinner. We don’t use any fancy techniques, just the regular ways of cooking that we know. The smell of the food usually drifts out onto Park Town Road. Sometimes we run out of things early if it’s a busy day. We just do our best to keep things clean and the food tasting right. It’s a small team, mostly family and a couple of helpers. We don't have a big marketing plan; we just cook and hope people like it. It’s honest work and it keeps us on our feet. We usually start prepping early in the morning before the sun gets too hot.
