Green Pekoe Tea Traders

We’ve been running Green Pekoe Tea Traders for a while now over on Thadagam Road. If you know the area in R. S. Puram, we’re right near the milk company. It’s a busy spot with lots of traffic going by every day. My family started this because we all just really like a good cup of tea and it turned into a business. We mostly deal with tea leaves and different blends that come in from the estates. Our shop isn't anything fancy, just a lot of bags and some scales. We spend most of our time sorting through the stock and making sure everything is fresh for whoever comes in. Sometimes the place smells like raw tea leaves, which is actually pretty nice. We have a few regulars who stop by just to see what came in that week. It’s just a small team of us here. We don’t have a big marketing plan or anything, we just open the doors in the morning and get to work. Dealing with the suppliers can be a headache sometimes, especially when the weather is bad up in the hills, but we manage. R. S. Puram is a good place to be, even if parking on Thadagam Road is a nightmare most afternoons. We keep things pretty simple and just focus on the tea.
