Good Samaritan Public School

You can find us over in Ganapathy Nagar, right on Gandhiji Road. It is a fairly quiet area compared to the main town parts. We started out with just a few rooms and have grown a bit since then, though the building is still quite simple. We have the basic grades here. Each room has a couple of fans, but it still gets pretty warm in the middle of the day during the summer months. We don't have any big, fancy equipment or high-tech labs. It’s mostly just desks, chairs, and textbooks. The teachers show up early to get things ready, and you can usually find us in the small staff room having a quick tea before the bell rings. The kids bring their own lunch boxes, and the playground is just a small open space where they can run around for a bit. It’s nothing like those big international schools you see in the city. We are a local place for local families. Most of our students live within walking distance. We know the parents and we know the neighborhood. We don’t go around making big promises or using marketing talk. We just teach the lessons that need to be taught and make sure the kids are safe while they are here. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint, but for now, we just focus on the daily work of running a school.
