Daily Mart

Daily Mart is tucked away at Shop No 1/15-B on Vellalore Road. We are directly opposite the Mahalingapuram Bus Stop. It is a convenient spot for people waiting for the bus or those living in the nearby houses. The shop isn't very large, but we try to keep it filled with everything a household might need on a daily basis. You won’t find any fancy displays or high-end lighting here. It is just a straightforward mart with metal shelves and a small counter. We do most of the work ourselves, from cleaning the floors to stocking the goods. Vellalore is a bit further out, so it has a slightly different feel than the center of Coimbatore. It’s a bit more relaxed, though the road can still get busy. We enjoy the interactions with our regulars. We know who is looking for what and we try to keep those things ready. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to use flashlights, but that’s just how it is sometimes. We aren't looking to expand or become a big chain. We just like being the local shop for Mahalingapuram. It’s hard work, and the hours are long, but there is a certain satisfaction in seeing the shop full of stock and people coming in. We just take it one day at a time, keeping things running as smoothly as we can without making any big fuss about it. All the locals know us.
