Coimbatore Kitchen Equipments (P) Ltd. is situated at 24, Perumal Kovil Thottam, along the P.N. Palayam Road. We are very close to the railway gate in Ganapathy, so we are quite familiar with the sound of the trains passing by throughout the day. When the gate closes, the traffic on the road piles up, and it gets quite noisy with all the horns honking. Our workshop and office are right in the middle of that bustle. The area is called a thottam, but it is mostly buildings and small industrial units now. We have a good amount of space here to keep our things. The building is a bit older, with some patches on the walls, but it is sturdy and does the job. We spend most of our time on the shop floor where the air is filled with the smell of cut metal. It is a hard-working place, and we don't have much time for sitting around. Usually, there is a lot of banging and clanging going on. We have a small area where we keep our records and take phone calls, but the real action is in the back. The people here are local and we have worked together for a long time. We know the neighbors and the guys at the tea shop nearby. It is just a regular life in Ganapathy, working hard and dealing with the heat and the train schedules.
