Chinmaya International Residentil School

We are located out on Siruvani Road, past the Nallur Bayal post. It’s a good distance from Coimbatore city, so the vibe is different. This is a residential school, meaning students and staff live here on the grounds. The campus is large with plenty of trees. Having the hills in the background makes for a nice view when you’re walking to the classrooms. The air out here feels a lot cleaner than it does in the city. Our dining hall is the heart of the place where everyone gathers three times a day. It’s always loud in there. With so many buildings, you end up doing a lot of walking every day. The dorms are simple. They just have rows of beds and cupboards for the students' belongings. It’s a long day for the staff because the kids are here twenty-four hours a day. We have to look after everything from their studies to their sports and even their sleep schedules. It’s like running a small, self-contained village. The road leading to the school is long and has a few turns. Going into town for supplies is always a big trip that we have to plan for. Life is quiet in some ways but very hectic in others. There’s always a student who needs help with a math problem or someone who lost their shoes. We just handle it as it comes and keep the place moving forward. It’s a different kind of life here.
