Chamundi Driving School

You can find Chamundi Driving School at No. 266, right near the Royal Enfield showroom in Peelamedu. It’s a pretty easy landmark to spot if you are heading through that part of Coimbatore. We have been teaching people how to drive around these streets for a long time. Driving in Tamil Nadu isn't always easy, especially with all the buses and two-wheelers weaving in and out of traffic. We have a couple of cars that we use for lessons. They aren't the latest models, but they have dual controls so we can help out if someone gets a bit confused with the pedals. Our days usually start pretty early because that’s when the roads are a bit quieter for the beginners. We take students through the basics of steering and how to use the indicators properly. It’s a lot of sitting in the passenger seat and giving directions. We don't use any fancy simulators or high-tech gear. We just get out on the actual roads where the driving happens. Peelamedu has some good spots for practicing turns and parking. Most of our students are young folks getting their first license or older people who finally decided it was time to learn. We don't do much in the way of promotion. People mostly find us because they live nearby or their cousins learned here years ago. It’s a basic service, and we just try to be patient while people find their confidence behind the wheel.
