Our place is right on Thadagam Link Road in Saibaba Colony. It’s number 317, easy to miss if you aren't looking closely. We deal with tea mostly. The day starts early because that is when the fresh leaves or the bulk bags arrive. Coimbatore has its own rhythm, and we just try to keep up with it. We aren't doing anything revolutionary, just packing and moving tea products. Sometimes the shop feels a bit cramped with all the crates stacked up, but we make it work. The staff here has been around for a bit, so they know where everything goes. We drink a lot of tea ourselves while we work, mostly to test things or just to stay awake. It isn't a polished showroom. It’s a workplace. There is dust from the tea leaves sometimes and the noise from the road outside is constant. We’ve got the regular customers who know exactly what they want. We don't spend much time on fancy labels or anything like that. Banas Tea is just us working in this corner of Coimbatore. Sometimes the rain makes the deliveries hard, but we manage. If the shutters are up, we are inside working. It’s practical work. No big meetings or long emails. Just checking the inventory and making sure the tea gets to where it needs to go. It isn't fancy but it gets the job done. We like the smell of the tea in the morning.
