Babu Stores

My family has been at Vennila House for quite a while now. We keep Babu Stores running right here on Mtp Road. It’s a busy spot in Thudialur, especially with the bus stop being so close. You see all sorts of people coming and going every day. Some are just rushing to catch their ride and others have more time to chat. We open early because that’s when the first crowds start moving through Coimbatore. It’s a bit dusty sometimes with all the vehicles passing by on the main road, but you get used to the noise after a few years. Inside the shop, we just keep things organized the best we can. There is always something to do, like checking the shelves or making sure we haven’t run out of the basics people ask for. It is not a fancy place, just a regular shop where we know most of the faces that walk through the door. My father used to handle things here, and now it is mostly me and a couple of others helping out. We don’t have any big signs or loud advertisements. People just know where we are because we have been here so long. If someone is waiting for a bus and needs a quick thing, they pop in. It is just a normal way to earn a living. Sometimes the rain makes it a bit quiet, but mostly it is just the steady hum of the road. We stay open until fairly late most nights.
