We are located right here on Devanga Street in Poo Market. Most of us start our day way before the sun is even up because that is when the fresh loads arrive. It gets really crowded around here by six in the morning. You can smell the jasmine and roses from the corner of the block. We spend a lot of time just trimming stems and sorting through what looks good and what doesn’t. It’s a lot of manual work and our hands usually end up stained by the end of the shift. The shop itself isn't fancy. We have buckets lined up on the floor and some shelves for the smaller stuff. People from the neighborhood stop by on their way to the temple or just to get something for their homes. Sometimes the traffic on Devanga Street makes it hard for delivery trucks to pull in, so we end up carrying crates by hand. It’s just how it is in this part of town. We don't have a big office or anything, just a small desk in the back where we keep the books. The fans are always running to keep the air moving so the petals don’t wilt too fast in the heat. We’ve been at 66 for a while now and most people know where to find us. It’s a busy life but we are used to the noise and the constant smell of flowers everywhere we go.
