Amrita Vidyalayam

We’ve been here in Ettimadai on Palakkad Main Road for a while now. It’s a busy spot but the school stays quiet enough for the kids to actually learn something. Most days start early with the buses pulling in and teachers getting their rooms ready. We have a lot of students from around the area, and it gets pretty lively during the break times. The buildings have been around for some years, so we’re always fixing a leaky tap or painting a wall somewhere. It's not a fancy place, just a school where we try to get through the lessons and make sure everyone stays safe. You’ll see the main gate right off the road. Sometimes the traffic is a bit much in the mornings, but we manage. We’ve got some trees for shade and enough space for the kids to run around during sports. It’s just us doing our jobs here every day, trying to keep things organized. If you walk inside, you'll probably hear a teacher reading or some kids practicing for an event. There is a small tea stall just down the road where some of the staff go after the final bell. It's a normal school life really. Nothing too complicated about it. We just open up in the morning, do the classes, and head home once the last bus leaves. It’s a good community here in this part of Palakkad, and we’re glad to be a small part of it. We keep our books in order and the classrooms swept.
