Amrita Vidyalayam

Our location is at S F No 317 in the Mangalam area of Tirupur. Being in Tirupur, a lot of the parents here work in the garment and textile factories that the city is famous for. The school is a bit away from the heavy industrial parts, so it is a little quieter. We have a decent-sized campus where the children spend their days. There is a lot of routine here. We start with the morning prayers and then move into the regular classes. The building is solid and we try to keep it clean, though with so many kids running around, there is always a bit of a mess to clear up at the end of the day. We have a lot of local staff who have been living in Mangalam for years. We do not go in for big marketing or fancy promises. We just provide a place for kids to learn their lessons and play some games in the evening. The weather here can be quite dry, so we have to water the plants on the grounds often to keep things looking green. Students wear their uniforms and we are quite strict about them being neat. It is a place where we just do our jobs and the children do theirs. People in the area know us as a regular school that has been part of the landscape for a while. It is a very normal school day for us from morning to evening.
