Active Apparels

We’ve been at 5A, 4th Street in Erukadu for a while now. Active Apparels is just a place where we get clothes made. It gets pretty busy around here in Karuvampalayam. Usually, the machines are running all day. Some of us have been working together for years. We handle different types of garments. It’s not a fancy office or anything. Just a workshop with people who know how to stitch and pack things. Most mornings start with checking the new fabric that came in. Then we just get to work. Sometimes the power goes out, but we manage. People know us in this neighborhood. We don't really do big advertisements. Most of what we do comes from regular orders that keep coming back. It’s a lot of cutting, sewing, and checking for loose threads. The floor is usually covered in bits of cloth. We try to stay organized but it's hard when there's a big shipment going out. If you walk down 4th street, you can usually hear the noise from our place. We just focus on getting the piles of work done by the end of the week. That’s pretty much how it goes here. It’s honest work and it keeps everyone occupied. We don’t have a big corporate team, just the staff here in the building. It’s a bit cramped sometimes with all the boxes stacked up, but we make it work somehow. We usually close the shutters by seven in the evening.
