Wood Shopee

Wood Shopee is located at 218, Tilak Road, and we’ve been here long enough that most people know where to find us. We mostly deal with timber and different types of wood for building or fixing things up. The yard at 218 is usually full of stacks of boards and offcuts. It’s not the cleanest place, but it’s a working wood shop, so sawdust is just part of the scenery. We get all kinds of people coming in—contractors looking for specific dimensions and regular folks just wanting a shelf for their kitchen. Tilak Road is always moving, so we’re right in the middle of the action. We don’t have any fancy brochures or a sales pitch. If you need a piece of wood, we find it for you and cut it down to size if that's what you need. Sometimes the saw acts up or the delivery truck is late, but we manage to get through it. We aren’t trying to be the biggest shop in town, just a reliable one where you can get what you need without a lot of fuss. It’s a bit of a maze inside with all the different types of lumber, but we know where everything is kept. We’ve spent years learning which wood works for what kind of weather, and we’re happy to tell you if you ask. No corporate nonsense here, just a bunch of people who know their wood and work hard at 218.
